DAIDUNG CORPORATION ACCELERATES DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION (DT) CAPABILITIES

DaiDung Corporation (DDC) recently collaborated with consulting firm I-Value to organize the “Digital Transformation Capabilities” training program. This marks the completion of a foundational step in the Digital Transformation roadmap for 2024 – 2030, preparing internal DT capabilities before moving into the expansion phase of the project.

The training program aimed to provide essential knowledge and principles for organizing and leveraging data in DT, enabling participants to apply these insights practically. Additionally, the program introduced methodologies, analytical approaches, and the development of digital initiatives to prepare for the project’s next phase.

The training offered a comprehensive overview of global DT trends, emphasizing enhanced operational efficiency, transformation of business processes, and improved customer experience. The global DT trends in the steel structure and mechanical engineering sectors are shaped by five major trends: precise site surveying and positioning, advanced 5-D building information modeling (BIM), digital and mobile collaboration, the Internet of Things (IoT), and data analytics, and sustainable design and construction.

Moreover, the training clarified DDC’s digital maturity assessment model, covering all aspects, such as customers, strategy, technology, operations, culture, and data, from initial to breakthrough levels. DDC members participating in the training learned how to organize and leverage data in DT, identify and eliminate process bottlenecks, develop digital initiatives, and create current process flowcharts.

Notably, the training encouraged proactive identification of inefficiencies and waste in time, costs, and resources during operations, leading to process improvement proposals and digital initiative development. This is crucial for optimizing operations and resources at DDC.

Chairman of the Board of Directors Trinh Tien Dung shared at the training session, “We need to change our approach to change our results. To change our approach, we must change our mindset. This is something we must recognize. You are dynamic, eager to learn, and open to seeing inefficiencies and bottlenecks.”

In DDC’s DT process, information technology is identified as a leverage factor. Therefore, DDC continues enhancing and completing application components and infrastructure according to the overall architecture, focusing on governance and information security capabilities. In 2024, DDC aims to consolidate its resources, build a digital workspace, and create positive momentum for the DT journey. The year 2025 will shape and promote digital-based governance methods for business operations.

These foundations will enable DDC to make precise and effective data-based decisions, thereby increasing product value and user experience. Simultaneously, developing a digital environment, digital culture, and digital capabilities will be implemented, positioning DDC as a comprehensive and pioneering DT enterprise in Asia’s mechanical engineering and steel structure solutions sector.
