On the morning of March 10, the grand opening ceremony of Phase I of the Nghi Son High-Tech Mechanical Factory was solemnly held at Lot CN-5, Industrial Park No. 1, Nghi Son Economic Zone, Nghi Son Town, Thanh Hoa Province. This project is a crucial component of DaiDung Group’s supply chain network, dedicated to developing high-tech mechanical and steel structure products for offshore renewable energy projects, oil and gas structures, super-heavy steel frameworks, technology modules, and other key national and international projects.
The event marked a significant milestone for DaiDung Group in enhancing its supply capacity to meet both domestic and international market demands.
With a land area of approximately 10.2 hectares (Phase I), a designed production capacity of 50,000 tons per year, and a total investment exceeding VND 900 billion, the factory has been designed, constructed, and operated in compliance with LEED Gold standards. These standards focus on minimizing environmental impact, optimizing resource efficiency, reducing dependence on fossil fuels, and ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for employees. Furthermore, the production line incorporates Industry 4.0 technology and automated robotics to enhance efficiency and optimize processes.
These factors have enabled the Nghi Son High-Tech Mechanical Factory to obtain internationally recognized certifications, including: ISO 9001 – Quality Management System, ISO 14001 – Environmental Management System, ISO 45001 – Occupational Health and Safety Management System, additionally, the factory has achieved certifications that meet the regulatory requirements of major markets such as North America, Europe, Australia, Japan, and the Middle East. Prior to this, BIDV signed a green credit agreement to finance this project.
Chairman & CEO Trinh Tien Dung’s Speech at the Event
Speaking at the event, Mr. Trinh Tien Dung, Chairman & CEO of DaiDung Group, highlighted the strategic advantages of Nghi Son Town in terms of transportation and infrastructure. He emphasized that Nghi Son is a key industrial, urban, and coastal service hub, home to leading industries such as petrochemical refining, thermal power, steel rolling, and cement production. Mechanical and industrial manufacturing plants serve as essential components to effectively implement and maximize the potential of these projects.
“Approximately 70% of our products will be exported to international markets through Nghi Son Seaport and our dedicated seaport investment, while 30% will be supplied to the domestic market. This project plays a crucial role in advancing the supporting industries, particularly precision mechanics, in Thanh Hoa Province and the broader Northern and North-Central regions. Furthermore, once the factory becomes operational, it will generate thousands of stable jobs, contribute to the local budget, and train a highly skilled workforce—turning talented engineers and technical workers into master craftsmen who create world-class Vietnamese products,” stated Mr. Trịnh Tiến Dũng.
Thanh Hoa Provincial Authorities Visit Nghi Son Factory
During the event, Mr. Trinh Tien Dung also proposed that the Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee and relevant authorities approve the expansion of the Nghi Son High-Tech Mechanical Factory by an additional 9.2 hectares, along with the construction of a dedicated port (DaiDung Nghi Son Port) spanning approximately 8 hectares to serve the factory.
The expansion of the factory and the investment in a dedicated port will contribute significantly to the development of the maritime economy, create a robust industrial supply chain, attract investments into industrial clusters, and help Thanh Hoa Province achieve sustainable double-digit economic growth until 2045, as per the government’s strategic goals.
DaiDung Group Donates VND 4.38 Billion for Social Welfare in Thanh Hoa
As part of the event, DaiDung Group contributed a total of VND 4.38 billion to support social welfare initiatives in Thanh Hoa Province: VND 3 billion to sponsor and care for 365 orphans in Thanh Hoa in 2025, VND 850 million to donate a high-end four-probe ultrasound machine to Yen Dinh District General Hospital, VND 300 million to renovate and equip Hai Binh Kindergarten in Nghi Son Town, VND 230 million to build three houses and provide gifts to 100 underprivileged households in Nghi Son
This milestone reinforces DaiDung Group’s vision of becoming a world-class multi-industry corporation, positioning itself as a national brand and a leading symbol of Vietnamese excellence in mechanical engineering, construction, and steel structures, while elevating the reputation of Vietnamese manufacturing on the global stage.
