DaiDung’s booth at Japan Build Tokyo 2025 welcomed a large number of visitors, highlighted by the presence of Mr. Ta Duc Minh – Trade Counselor of Vietnam in Japan, the Chairman of Tekken Group, and representatives from Takenaka Corporation.

The strong interest shown by Japanese industry leaders and major contractors is a positive signal for DaiDung’s strategy to strengthen its credibility and expand its presence in the Japanese construction market.

Japan Build Tokyo is regarded as a key event for the building materials and housing equipment industry in Japan, bringing together more than 600 exhibitors and approximately 40,000 visitors. The exhibition attracts general contractors, design firms, developers, and industrial companies seeking business partners—particularly amid Japan’s current shortage of construction materials and its growing demand for technical solutions that meet stringent standards. The exhibition environment facilitates direct engagement with Japan’s construction ecosystem, a market known for its high expectations regarding transparency and rigorous quality requirements.

At its booth, DaiDung showcased scale models, products, and technical materials demonstrating its large-scale steel structure manufacturing capabilities in Vietnam. The company highlighted its compliance with international standards such as H Grade, EN 1090 EXC4, AISC, and ISO, along with comprehensive quality control processes supporting both manufacturing and export operations. According to DaiDung representatives, these factors are essential when entering the Japanese market, where JIS and JASS 6 standards are widely applied in industrial projects.

Mr. Yasushi Ito, President of Tekken Corporation, visited the DaiDung exhibition space.

The strong interest shown by leaders of Japan’s leading construction companies is a clear recognition of Vietnam’s steel structure manufacturing capabilities. Prior to this event, DaiDung had consecutively signed comprehensive cooperation agreements with major industry players, including Takenaka—Japan’s oldest construction group with over 400 years of history, renowned for iconic architectural landmarks both domestically and internationally; Tekken, a leading general contractor specializing in transportation infrastructure and heavy industrial projects; and most recently Hayashi Souko, a Japanese logistics and warehouse leasing company with extensive experience in developing multi-temperature warehouse infrastructure and providing professional transport coordination services.

These strategic partnerships with reputable Japanese counterparts not only demonstrate the market’s confidence in DaiDung but also open new pathways for DaiDung Group to penetrate and achieve sustainable growth in one of the world’s most demanding markets.

The exhibition booth attracted significant attention from leading Japanese executives and contractors.

This outcome reflects a long-term and well-structured preparation process to effectively support DaiDung’s integration strategy. The company has fully standardized its quality management, environmental management, and occupational health and safety systems in accordance with reputable international certifications. DaiDung currently holds R&H Grade (Japanese standards for welding technical skills), ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety), as well as EN 1090 certification for European steel structure execution and AISC certification for the U.S. steel design and fabrication quality management system.

Notably, DDC Vung Tau Factory has achieved ISO 3834-2:2021 certification for welding quality management systems issued by Bureau Veritas—one of the most stringent standards in steel structure manufacturing—along with a competency assessment report for shipbuilding activities. In parallel, DaiDung Group is among the very few Vietnamese enterprises to obtain EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) certification under European standards. The company has also been awarded verification statements by the British Standards Institution (BSI) for greenhouse gas emissions inventory in factory operations in compliance with ISO 14064-1:2018, as well as product life-cycle greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with ISO 14067:2018. To date, DDC is the first enterprise in Vietnam’s steel structure and mechanical fabrication sector to conduct emissions inventory under these standards, despite not being included in the list of companies required to do so under Decision No. 01/2022/QĐ-TTg.

With a network of factories developed to simultaneously meet LEED Gold criteria, DaiDung Group has demonstrated a strong commitment to green manufacturing and global sustainable development trends.

Japan Build Tokyo 2025 also marked the official debut of DaiDung Japan as a legal entity in the Japanese market. Establishing a local subsidiary enables the company to more effectively engage customers, deploy services, and strengthen its regional presence. DaiDung expects to enhance brand recognition and expand business opportunities in sectors such as industrial factories, logistics, data centers, and industrial infrastructure—areas experiencing strong demand in Japan.

According to information from the event organizer, Japan’s steel industry was valued at approximately USD 84.3 billion in 2024 and is projected to grow in the coming years, with a focus on high-strength materials and low-emission solutions. With its large-scale manufacturing capacity and green technology orientation, DaiDung is well positioned to meet the needs of this market. In addition, the increasing investment in industrial facilities and logistics infrastructure in Japan presents further opportunities for companies capable of stable production and reliable delivery schedules.

Information about DaiDung is also published on Japan Build’s official partner search platform, widely used by Japanese companies seeking suppliers and partners. This enables potential clients to easily access company information even after the event concludes.

Amid the rapid restructuring of global supply chains and Vietnam’s emergence as a key industrial destination, DaiDung views its participation in Japan Build as a strategic step toward deeper engagement with the Japanese market. The company aims to increase the proportion of revenue from Japan during the 2025–2030 period, while contributing to the enhanced global profile of Vietnam’s mechanical engineering and steel fabrication industry.
