BUSINESSES “CLOSE THE DEAL” CONTINUOUSLY AFTER TET

VTV.vn – Right after the Lunar New Year holiday, most businesses and workers in Ho Chi Minh City have resumed production and business activities.

A high employee return rate, coupled with a steady flow of orders, has created a vibrant production atmosphere in the early days of the year. This positive momentum has boosted the morale and determination of both businesses and workers.

At DaiDung Mechanical Construction & Trading JSC, the company’s post-Tet gathering was held efficiently within the factory premises. Red lucky money envelopes were handed out to employees as a token of encouragement.

“It’s very exciting! There’s plenty of work at the company. We’ve enjoyed the New Year festivities, and now everyone is back with great energy,” shared Nguyen Van Tai, a worker at DaiDung.

At DaiDung, more than 500 workers, over 70% of the workforce have resumed production immediately. Due to the nature of the company’s workforce, which includes many employees from distant provinces, the company has allowed them an extended holiday to spend time with their families. By the ninth day of Tet (Thursday this week), the company will arrange transportation for workers to return and resume operations.

With new orders being confirmed continuously after the holiday, the company sees this as a positive signal in achieving its ambitious growth target of over 37% this year.

More than 76% of businesses in Ho Chi Minh City expect their entire workforce to return after the Tet holiday. This number reflects workers’ confidence in the economic outlook for the new year. The availability of orders, combined with increasing wages and bonuses, has fueled an enthusiastic start to production.

Tran Viet Anh, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Business Association, remarked:
“The excitement for work this year is completely different—there’s a real sense of urgency. Everyone is eager to get started because we had a long holiday and received a lot of positive news for the country. Most importantly, the backlog of orders is waiting for workers to begin production, and international demand is also driving businesses forward.”

In addition to stabilizing their workforce and ramping up production, many companies are also actively recruiting after Tet. It is estimated that in district 1 of this year, over 79,000 job openings will be available in Ho Chi Minh City.
