As part of social charity activities on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2024, on February 21, 2024, a delegation of DDC led by Ms. Hong Lien, Deputy General Director, visited people in difficult circumstances in Lagi town, Binh Thuan province.
At the program, the delegation gave 100 Tet gifts worth 500,000 VND each to 100 people including disabled people, lonely elderly people, and poor people living in Lagi town and organized entertainment and gave necessities to the children. 96 orphans are being directly raised at the Shelter of Mercy social facility. DaiDung Corporation representative also gave 400 million VND in funding to raise children from the Shelter, including 120 million VND from monthly DaiDung employees contribution.
It is known that the Shelter of Mercy was established and has been operating since 2006 by the Sisters of Lovers of the Holy Cross Nha Trang with the mission of “Protecting life”. This place continuously receives and nurtures abandoned babies after birth until adulthood. To date, the shelter has saved the lives of more than 300 children from pregnant mothers who mistakenly intended to have an abortion, regularly nurtured nearly 100 children, buried more than 34,000 fetuses, and helped the disabled, and single elderly…
From 2010, DaiDung Corporation has always accompanied the Shelter in repairing facilities, providing quarterly financial support, visiting, gifts, and necessities to help the children have good living conditions. In a warm, friendly atmosphere, the Shelter representative expressed deep gratitude to the kindness of DaiDung delegation for always having a loving heart towards the misfortune people and wishing DaiDung’s team good health, peace, and business development.
