On November 10, 2023, the Institute of Construction Science and Technology, with the consent and sponsorship of the Ministry of Construction, organized an International Scientific Conference to celebrate its 60th anniversary. The big event was organized in close cooperation with the American Concrete Institute (ACI), British Standards Institute (BSI) and the University of Melbourne – Australia.
The conference is not only a meeting place for experts, scientists, and partners in the construction field but also an important event that attracts the attention of the international construction community. Attending the conference were many entrepreneurs and businesses in the construction industry from Vietnam and other countries, and especially the presence of Mr. Bui Xuan Dung, Deputy Minister of Construction and Dr. Nguyen Hong Hai, Director of the Institute of Construction Science and Technology.
Opening speech of Dr. Nguyen Hong Hai, Director of Institute of Construction Science and Technology, marked the importance of the Institute in the development of Vietnam’s construction industry. Over 60 years, the Institute has continuously contributed to state management and industry development. The Institute has researched and transferred many advanced technologies and technical solutions suitable to Vietnamese conditions, while training and fostering research and technical staff.
With the participation of leading speakers from Vietnam and internationally, the reports share new research results, technical advances, and solutions successfully applied in practice. In particular, speakers from foreign units such as the University of Melbourne – Australia, British Standards Institute BSI, Czech University of Technology, and Hunan University brought perspectives and methods. diverse solutions for the Vietnamese research community.
At this event, DaiDung Corporation, with its position as one of the leading units in the steel structure construction industry in Vietnam, also contributed and actively participated in the Science and Technology Conference. Construction Technology towards sustainable development 2023.
