The certification journey spanned over six months. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of the staff at Nghi Son High-Tech Mechanical Plant and the International Cooperation & ISO Department of the Group, the plant has successfully obtained four prestigious certifications:ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management System), ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health & Safety Management System), ISO 3834-2 (Comprehensive Welding Quality Management System). These certifications were awarded by two of the world’s leading certification bodies: British Standards Institution (BSI) and Bureau Veritas (BV) — both with over 120 years of experience and operations in more than 190 countries. This milestone marks a significant step forward for the Nghi Son Plant — a key link in Dai Dung Group’s manufacturing network — helping standardize operations, enhance management efficiency, and strengthen its position in the global industrial supply chain.
This milestone marks the completion of the international-standard operating system at the Thanh Hoa manufacturing plant. It reflects the company’s ability to operate with flexibility, efficiency, and a long-term vision aligned with sustainable development goals. It also demonstrates the company’s readiness to integrate into the global value chain — where strict requirements on quality, environmental responsibility, occupational safety, and comprehensive welding quality management are becoming fundamental standards.
Achieving ISO certifications enables the Nghi Son Plant to standardize its operations, enhance management efficiency, and strengthen its position in the global industrial supply chain.
Among the four certified management systems, ISO 9001:2015 supports the development of strict quality control processes from raw materials to finished products, ensuring the consistency and reliability of mechanical components in industrial projects with high technical requirements. This certification lays a solid foundation for participating in major international tenders.
ISO 14001:2015 focuses on minimizing environmental impact throughout the entire manufacturing process. This certification aligns with Dai Dung Group’s green growth strategy. The facility is designed to meet LEED Gold green building standards and complies with ISO 14064 and ISO 14067 for greenhouse gas emissions. It also integrates energy-saving solutions, resource circulation, and emission reduction. Notably, the entire project is financed by BIDV through a green credit line, in line with sustainable finance criteria actively promoted both internationally and in Vietnam’s manufacturing sector.
ISO 45001:2018 helps create a safer working environment by effectively managing occupational risks, thereby contributing to operational stability and long-term performance. In the mechanical engineering sector — a field known for its technical complexity and strict safety demands — this standard has become an essential part of modern management systems.
ISO 3834-2, a comprehensive Welding Quality Management System, enables tight control over welding processes to ensure consistent quality and reliability of steel structure products in demanding industrial applications. Like ISO 9001, it is a key prerequisite for entering high-value international projects.
Trainees at the Nghi Son Plant have been awarded certificates of completion for training programs on ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
As of now, achieving all four ISO certifications simultaneously remains a rare accomplishment within the business community. This success highlights the strong coordination and dedicated support from the Group’s International Cooperation & ISO Department, which enabled the Nghi Son Plant to fulfill the targets set by the Board of General Directors. It fully meets the criteria highly valued by international markets — from technical quality and environmental governance to responsibility toward workers.
This achievement serves as a strategic foundation for Dai Dung Group to expand its supply capabilities and strengthen its presence in global manufacturing chains, where ESG factors (Environmental, Social, and Governance) are becoming increasingly important.
Located on a 45-hectare site, the Nghi Son High-Tech Mechanical Plant has a designed capacity of 73,000 tons of products per year. Its strategic location — near an international deep-sea port and the North–South Expressway — facilitates large-scale export of steel structure components and helps optimize regional logistics costs.
More than just a manufacturing hub, the plant also contributes to developing local technical talent by bridging vocational training with real-world applications in a modern industrial setting. This effort is part of Dai Dung Group’s satellite industrial zone development strategy, aimed at balancing production capacity and easing the burden on traditional industrial zones.
Event Overview
Being certified by BSI and Bureau Veritas (BV) — two globally recognized assessment organizations that have partnered with leading brands such as Siemens, Rolls-Royce, and Airbus — significantly enhances the credibility and transparency of Dai Dung Group’s manufacturing system. In today’s landscape, where standardization is a prerequisite for participating in international tenders, these four certifications serve as a technical passport, enabling the company to expand its market presence both domestically and internationally with greater confidence and ease.
Overview of the Nghi Son Plant
Beyond ensuring product quality, ISO management systems also help businesses optimize operational processes, manage risks more effectively, and gradually transition toward a digitized production model — where data and performance are monitored in real time. This is a critical factor in preparing the Group for its next phase of growth, aiming toward a smart, green, and agile factory model.
From Nghi Son, an internationally standardized high-tech mechanical plant is now in operation — contributing to shaping a new generation of Vietnamese manufacturing, where value lies not only in the products themselves, but also in standards, commitments, and long-term vision.
