DAI DUNG GROUP EMPLOYEES JOIN HANDS TO CONTRIBUTE TO TAKING CARE OF CHILDREN AT LAGI SHELTER

Recently, DaiDung Group organized a visit, delivered Tet (Lunar New Year) gifts, and provided financial support for the children at Gierado Shelter, run by the Congregation of the Lovers of the Holy Cross of Nha Trang. Supporting the Care and Nurturing of Children at Lagi Shelter – A Meaningful Annual Initiative by DaiDung Group

Sister Nguyen Thi Truc Loan shared that the shelter is currently home to nearly 100 children from various regions and neighboring provinces. Each child has a heartbreaking story, and none have any remaining family members. More than half of them are very young, with some being only a few months old. “The sisters must divide responsibilities—some caring for the children at the shelter, while others take the sick ones to medical facilities and hospitals. Many children suffer from illnesses, requiring hospitalization for months at provincial hospitals and Children’s Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City,” Sister Truc Loan explained. Currently, 46 children of school age are supported by the shelter to attend school, from primary to university level. Some children have been placed in facilities near their schools, providing them with better conditions for education and a brighter future.

DaiDung Group Also Distributed Tet Gifts to 150 Underprivileged Families in Lagi

During this visit, in addition to warm-hearted gifts, DaiDung Group donated 400 million VND to support the care and nurturing of the children throughout 2025. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Lien, Deputy General Director of DaiDung Group, stated: “This donation comes from the leadership team and all employees of DaiDung Group. Everyone contributed by donating a portion of their monthly salary, hoping to help these children have a better life.”Additionally, DaiDung Group also visited, encouraged, and provided Tet gifts to 150 underprivileged families, with each gift package valued at 500,000 VND.

Besides supporting the Lagi Shelter, in the past year, DaiDung Group has also: Funded the construction of 10 new houses for families affected by Typhoon Yagi in Yen Bai, built 4 houses for orphaned children in Thanh Hoa, sponsored 365 children in Thanh Hoa, committing to their care and education until they reach adulthood at 18. “I can do this because I always have the support of my colleagues and employees. Whenever I call for action, some contribute labor, others contribute funds, and together we join hands with the company. I hope that in 2025, as the economy grows and we achieve greater profits, we can allocate more resources to help those in need. I also hope for good health so that I can continue this charitable work for society and for life,” Ms. Hong Lien shared.

In late December, DaiDung Group, in collaboration with the Thanh Hoa Women’s Union, organized a Tet gift-giving event for 365 children under their sponsorship. The event covered multiple districts, including Vinh Loc, Yen Dinh, Tho Xuan, Ha Trung, Quang Xuong, Thach Thanh, Nghi Son, Muong Lat, Lang Chanh, Quan Hoa, Quan Son, and Ba Thuoc. This initiative aligns with the “Mother Sponsor Program” launched by the Vietnam Women’s Union, with support from the Thanh Hóa Women’s Union. The gifts provided not only financial aid but also emotional encouragement, helping the children celebrate a joyful and fulfilling Tet, despite their challenges and losses. Additionally, this initiative aims to inspire more organizations and individuals to extend their support, ensuring that more children can experience a warm and happy New Year.
