Ho Chi Minh City’s Top 50 Enterprises Honored: DaiDung Shines with Ultra-Large Steel Structures

On the afternoon of April 15, 2025, Ho Chi Minh City celebrated a landmark moment at the People’s Committee Headquarters, where the Top 50 Outstanding Enterprises were honored for their iconic brands and flagship products. This ceremony held profound significance, recognizing the tireless efforts of businesses in forging a robust economic landscape and embodying the city’s pioneering, innovative, dynamic, and creative spirit. These qualities have cemented Ho Chi Minh City’s role as Vietnam’s economic powerhouse, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025). Among the celebrated, DaiDung Group stood out as the only brand recognized for its flagship ultra-large, ultra-heavy steel structures.

The honored enterprises excelled in stringent criteria: superior product and service quality, strong brand recognition, and a deep reflection of Ho Chi Minh City’s cultural and economic identity. Their contributions are tightly woven into the city’s history, driving collective prosperity. This event ignited inspiration, amplifying the entrepreneurial spirit and motivating future generations to sustain Ho Chi Minh City’s vibrant, civilized, and compassionate growth.
“To date, the city’s enterprises and entrepreneurs contribute over 50% of GRDP, 67% of total social investment capital, and 25% of total import-export turnover. Many businesses, thriving over four decades, have become trusted household names. Through relentless dedication, numerous city enterprises are steadily claiming their place on the global stage, bringing ‘Made by Vietnam’ products to consumers worldwide,” said Mr. Nguyễn Văn Được, Chairman of the HCMC People’s Committee, during the event.
With its flagship ultra-large, ultra-heavy steel structures, DaiDung Group has not only risen to industry leadership but also put Vietnam’s steel sector on the global map. These structures, alongside the DaiDung brand, carry Ho Chi Minh City’s pride to markets across five continents. A prime example is the Shiplift System project exported to Florida, USA. DaiDung supplied all components for assembling one of the world’s largest warship lifting platforms, leveraging cutting-edge technology. This platform spans 150 meters long, 34 meters wide, weighs nearly 8,000 tons, and supports a 25,000-ton load. The project demanded exceptional design, procurement, production, and assembly expertise, meeting rigorous international standards with absolute compliance. Concurrently, DaiDung Group was selected to fabricate suction buckets for Taiwan’s offshore wind farm—the largest in the Asia-Pacific. Each component measures 14 meters in diameter, 16 meters tall, and weighs up to 350 tons.

Beyond ultra-large structures, DaiDung DDC has diversified its portfolio, serving sectors like energy, hydropower, thermal power, wind power, logistics, transportation, infrastructure, and industrial and civil construction. The company operates six factory clusters spanning hundreds of hectares, with a production capacity of 250,000–300,000 tons annually, aiming for 500,000 tons by 2030.
DaiDung DDC’s journey has reshaped Vietnam’s steel and mechanical engineering industries. Its legacy includes over 4,000 projects across five continents, marked by iconic structures that blend architectural trends, optimized design, and construction efficiency while embracing adaptive and nature-harmonized solutions. These steady strides have propelled DaiDung Group into over 60 countries and territories, building a foundation for a bold leap into a new era of growth.

This recognition fuelsDaiDung Group’s drive to accelerate a comprehensive restructuring, from governance models to new product development. The company is pursuing a diversification strategy, expanding beyond steel structures and mechanical engineering into fields like EPC, real estate, energy, construction materials, and logistics. This approach mitigates financial risks, ensures stable cash flow, and safeguards revenue amid global steel market fluctuations. These new ventures will generate steady income, fostering long-term sustainable growth, paving the way for an IPO in 2026, and targeting billion-dollar revenue by 2030.
