The steel structure of the National Exhibition and Fair Center is gradually taking shape with the relentless efforts of the DaiDung Group team.
Regarded as the “new icon” of the capital, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has urged the swift completion of the project to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025). During a site inspection of the project, the Prime Minister expressed his pleasure upon witnessing the urgent atmosphere at the construction site, as well as the industrious and creative spirit of the team working tirelessly day and night.
The steel structure framework produced and erected by DaiDung Group is gradually taking shape
It is known that this particularly important project brings together three leading companies. Vietnam Exhibition Center Joint Stock Company, a subsidiary of Vingroup – one of the largest multi-industry conglomerates in Asia, is the investor; Hoa Phat Group – the leading steel enterprise, supplies high-quality steel pipes; and DaiDung Group – which designs, manufactures, and assembles the steel structure framework – the architectural highlight of the project.
Specifically, Hoa Phat supplies large steel pipes that meet ASTM A500 Grade B standards (USA), along with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications, with a total weight of tens of thousands of tons. Of this, 70% of the volume is provided through the strategic partnership with DaiDung Group.
The structures are being urgently produced and transported to the construction site
With the project set to be completed by July 2025, DaiDung Group is urgently deploying the best resources of the Group to meet the timeline while ensuring the highest quality and architectural aesthetics. The highlight of the project is the Domes-style roof design, with a diameter of up to 360m. The construction of the steel dome requires extremely high technical precision and complex calculation capabilities.
The steel structures are optimally designed to ensure durability, load-bearing capacity, and safety under all conditions. This component plays a crucial role in creating the main architectural mass, which resembles the image of the Golden Turtle deity, one of the Four Sacred Creatures in Eastern culture. It is closely tied to the legend of the Golden Turtle, which protected the “land of talented people” in Co Loa, Đong Anh.
Chosen as the contractor for the project, DaiDung Group has demonstrated its supply capabilities, reputation for quality, ability to meet deadlines, and compliance with the stringent aesthetic and architectural standards of the project. At the same time, the leadership and strategic vision of Chairman and CEO Trinh Tien Dung have laid a solid foundation in the process of affirming the company’s potential, competence, and building trust with clients and partners. It is the meticulous attention and timely directives that have been the key factors enabling DaiDung Group to surpass many other units, meet a series of strict criteria, and become the supplier for this project.
Project perspective
At the same time, throughout the project implementation process, the captain has directly commanded the deployment of all stages from technical design, production, transportation of the structure to the construction site, and closely monitored the installation progress. This extraordinary effort has strongly inspired the team involved in the project, from the “backline” to the “frontline.” Modern equipment and machinery were deployed for the design team to work day and night on technical drawings. The factory system remained brightly lit to ensure timely delivery, and trucks continuously transported components to the construction site day and night. The frontline workforce, undeterred by hardships, overcame numerous challenges and the cold weather to complete the installation tasks.
