The Fehmarn Belt Fixed Link is a world-class underground infrastructure project, stretching 18 kilometers under the Baltic Sea to connect Lolland Island (Denmark) with Fehmarn Island (Germany). Once completed, it will become the longest undersea tunnel in the world, allowing both cars and trains to pass through, reducing travel time between the two countries from 45 minutes to just 7 minutes.
This project uses a special construction method: immersed tunnel segments placed under the sea. Each segment is about 217 meters long and weighs up to 73,000 tons, requiring extremely high technical and structural standards.
DaiDung Group – a leading Vietnamese corporation in mechanical engineering and steel structures – is proud to have supplied key steel components for this project, all meeting strict European standards. This is a strong example of Vietnam’s ability to deliver high-quality manufacturing and project execution on a global scale.
DaiDung’s participation in the Fehmarn Belt Fixed Link is not only a technical achievement, but also a powerful statement of Vietnam’s position in the global steel industry.
